TRE - Release, Rebalance, Renew

Jacy Sundlie will be offering an Introduction to TRE on May 21st from 7 - 8:30 pm.  Cost is $15.

TRE - Tension and trauma releasing exercises.  TRE targets the psoas muscles eliciting neurogenic tremors in the body, a controlled, sustained shaking which releases deep chronic muscular tension in the body from the cranium to the sacrum.  The brain registers a reduction in pain signals and produces hormones that bring relief, relaxation and comfort.

Your Body as Beloved Partner

~ Creating a compassionate connection
This class fosters your ability to sit in stillness, attend to your own body and its messages, and offer your clients a similar source of deep communion with their body.  You will explore ways to actively encourage clients to remain in their experience to bring numb and armored places into awareness; and to invite curiosity and experimentation into a session while mindful of scope of practice and boundary issues.

Ethics as Nourishing Communication

~ Developing a healing attention & guiding your client into presence.

This interactive class touches both sides of the same coin--fostering a healing attention with your client and guiding your client into presence.  The central theme of this class is learning to be with our clients in a shared presence.  The class offers a simple yet powerful model for communicating in a way that meets both parties' needs and fosters an authentic partnership with clients.  This class is for anyone who would like to communicate with more skill, clarity and empathy.

Reiki I

Reiki is a hands-on energy system first founded in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui. The word Rei can be translated as "universal/divine," and Ki means "energy." Professional Ethics for the Massage Therapist and Bodyworker

This educational program explores the "basic" dynamics of the therapeutic relationship. Topics of discussion: codes and guidelines, law and legislation, roles and boundaries, sexual misconduct, informed consent, confidentiality, and standards of practice, and much more.

A highlight of this course is that each participant will walk away with effective tools and skills in order to offer clients nourishing and heart-felt presence and communication!

Ethics as Soul Work

Our vocation requires constant soul renewal if we are to take joy in our work and grow in our service to others. This class is a gentle inner journey into aspects of our past that we may be unintentionally carrying into our client relationships, followed by an exploration of practices that support mutually nourishing relationships ~ self-inquiry, self-care disciplines, communication skills, and one’s personal boundary style. Through stillness, reflection, art, and community learning, we recover our passion for serving others with our touch.

Includes 2 hours of Standard V

Right Use of Power is at the very heart of ethics. The Right Use of Power approach to ethics is dynamic, engaging and inspiring, along with recognizing that the issues of power in helping relationships are complex.
